As the founder of the Missionaries of Charity she was an inspiration to us all and model of kindness and service, in tending to the poor, sick and orphaned in India and then worldwide.

Diana “Queen of Hearts” used her position to share love and bring the world’s attention to humanitarian causes such as her campaign against landmines and bringing about acceptance for the victims of AIDS.

In the political field, Hillary is a leading light for American women. She was First Lady and is now a US senator. In fact, she became the first First Lady to win an elected office when she was elected in New York. She is an inspiration to the US ladies. This is proved by the support she received across America making her a strong candidate for president.

Margaret Thatcher

The “Iron Lady” was the first and so far, the only female prime minister in Great Britain, three terms in a row from 1979-1990. Margaret challenged the Prime Minister, Edward Heath’s Conservative leadership and won.
Even if you didn’t agree with her, when she spoke, she infused confidence and inspired you to take action and get things done. She was a doer. She once said that if you want something done, you should ask a woman!

Oprah Winfrey

No list about influential women would be complete without Oprah! From poor beginnings this woman rose to be the first African-American lady billionaire. She has been cited as THE most influential woman. Via The Oprah Winfrey Show, along with her books, radio and movies, Oprah certainly influences and inspires.
